Scalability is about democratizing content.
No single organization can know everything or reach everyone. We’re building an ecosystem, a framework, and a collection of resources that can be shared openly and lay the groundwork for others. The Plenary aims to serve as a starting point so that local communities and changemakers have the tools they need to responsibly replicate, modify, and tailor plenaries for their community.
If you attend an incredible museum exhibit while on vacation, there aren’t many options for your friends at home to see it too. Many of our institutions that create the best learning experiences keep their designs limited to those with financial and geographic access. Tons of money and resources and energy go into producing incredible content that often lives in the halls of a single museum… then disappears. We believe in democratizing art, science, and advocacy, so that everyone has a chance to engage in public discourse and exploration.
Decades of research provide a roadmap for the most impactful, effective, and digestible ways to engage people with new ideas. We need pathways through knowledge that leverage the power of experience design, social connection, and multisensory exploration. Good design gives knowledge power, and that power should be shared.
That’s why we’re building an ecosystem of resources, training, and principles that can be openly accessed and implemented by anyone, anywhere, so long as it’s with the aim of public engagement in mind. Our materials can be downloaded. Our artwork can be printed and displayed. Our experience designs can be shared and replicated.
Scalability means shareability, so we’re creating designs, resources, and experiences that were made to be shared and tailored to and with different communities.
