COLLABORATION FOR ACTIVATION
We need to support ongoing action.
There are countless incredible teams and organizations that are doing powerful work that many people never learn about. Many of them have opportunities for people to support or engage. An effective engagement ecosystem needs to be connected, collaborative, and intentional.
Sometimes the most important work isn’t creating something completely new — it’s creating a new way for the things that already exist to fit together.
Many people who care enough to learn about an issue, still feel overwhelmed when they try to figure out what they can actually do about it. Most of our media focuses more on the problem than the most practical, actionable solutions, even when great organizations and opportunities exist.
Our goal isn’t to minimize the strengths and impact of grassroots advocacy, responsible journalism, effective science communication, or direct service organizations — it’s to support them, fill in the gaps in-between them, and connect the public with the next steps they’re looking for.
To drive progress, knowledge needs to be followed up with action. We need roadmaps that minimize redundancy and maximize impact by connecting community members with the opportunities for change that exist in the systems that they interact with. We’re connecting existing initiatives, organizations, and actions to the people who seeking them, so they never have to wonder where to start again.
