  • Development Assistant

    $50/hour; Contractor; San Francisco, CA; Hybrid

    We are seeking an assistant to aid in our organizations’s fundraising, donor stewardship, and membership support efforts. This role includes grant research, writing, and management support, fundraising event and collateral support, donor and member communications, donor database and membership management, and related executive support.

    This is a hybrid role that requires one day per week (5-8 hours) on-site at our headquarters in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco or on location as applicable. Additional hours (10-15 per week total, with potential to increase over time) may be remote or on-site, as desired.

  • Print Shop Assistant

    $35/hour; Contractor; San Francisco, CA; On-Site

    We are seeking an individual to manage the equipment and orders placed in our print shop. This role includes operating and maintaining professional printers, preparing design files using professional programs such as Adobe Suite, color checking, stock management, trimming prints, and managing packaging and fulfillment.

    As a low quantity print shop focused on limited runs and internal programs, we anticipate an average of 5-10 hours per week, with the potential to increase in the future.

    Schedule is flexible but must be on-site at our headquarters in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.

  • Accessibility Consultant

    $30/hour; 5-10 hours/month; Contractor; Remote

    Review our digital materials, in particular the I Am A Scientist program, for accessibility gaps. Manage captions, alt text, and accessible design options for new resources on a rolling basis. Make recommendations and implement solutions as needed.

    • Creating and managing optimized mobile-friendly versions of The Plenary, Co., Membership, and / or I Am a Scientist sites

    • Maintaining and improving The Plenary, Co., Membership, and / or I Am a Scientist desktop sites
