Workshops & Trainings

The Plenary got its start by delivering engaging, interactive workshops across the US.

Based on our original frameworks, we’ve created a suite of tailored experiences for change practitioners to tap into new fields of insights, educators looking to brush up on their evidence-sleuthing abilities, practical tools for scientists to build meaningful relationships with the public, and courses for undergraduates to practice media literacy skills.

Our Workshops & Trainings

In addition to engaging with critical skills, knowledge, and dispositions in creative and dynamic ways, by commissioning a workshop from The Plenary, you are supporting our broader efforts to make this knowledge accessible to all. Our current offerings include some of our tried-and-true greatest hits, as well as translations of our shows and experiences so that they make sense for targeted group learning.

How We Change

HUMAN SYSTEMS NATURE OF KNOWLEDGE

Designed with change practitioners in mind, we’ll lead your group through insights from across nine distinct fields, including neuroscience, education, communications, and history. Through interactive exercises and guided reflections, we’ll discuss step-by-step processes for unlocking collective knowledge to design initiatives for change, and dive into real world strategies for putting knowledge to work.

TILT (Twenty first century Information Literacy Tools)

The People’s Science

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

As our flagship workshop, this training was designed to support scientists, researchers, and other scholars in building more meaningful relationships and communication skills for public engagement with their work. We’ve presented it at campuses and research institutions across the US, including Fleet Science Center and David Eagleman’s course at Stanford University.

“It’s Only Human’ featured scientific concepts brought to life through art. It was utterly unique and truly exciting to take part!”
