Kathryn Bethard
Web Designer & Illustrator
Kathryn co-conceptualized the Nature Knows Best initiative as part of our Illuminations series.
Nature Knows Best focuses on the ways that bio-inspired design is being leveraged to create strategies and solutions in the sustainability sector. She produced a series of six illustrations, each highlighting a different lesson learned from nature about how to undo the damages that we’ve done.
Kathryn is a UX designer and illustrator who has created a contemporary-meets-retro style to infuse energy and playfulness into her work. She creates full brand makeovers, punchy illustrations, and merchandise that reminds viewers and clients that design can be fun. She’s also a big advocate for the planet, which shows up in her work through her recurring plant motifs. When she’s not designing, you can catch her at her favorite place… her house. She’s a firm believer that there’s nothing like comfy clothes, home brewed coffee, and a good book. — via kathrynbethard.com
