Stephanie Fine Sasse
Designer
Stephanie steers the creative direction of The Plenary, Co. If something from The Plenary isn’t credited to another artist, it was likely created by her.
She takes a hands-on role in the designing our website, developing the visual language for the organization, and creating illustrations across our programs.
Prior to founding The Plenary, Co., Stephanie Fine Sasse worked as a neuroscience researcher while running a freelance graphic, visual, and web design business on the side. She’s designed multiple book covers, including her 2018 co-authored publication from MIT Press, Science Not Silence, and the 2017 release from Oxford University Press, Neuroexistentialism. She has also created the conceptual and visual design for exhibits, websites, touchscreen interactions, conference programs, large scale public education campaigns, merchandise, and marketing collateral for local, national, and international organizations including OHSU, WorldTeach, March for Science, and Harvard University. Stephanie led the creative direction for The Plenary, Co.’s precursor, The People’s Science, and continues to contribute to our visual portfolio through web design, collaborative art, and original works. She particularly enjoys creating line drawings, flat illustrations, and hand lettering.
