How We Change Project
● NATURE OF KNOWLEDGE
Exploring multidisciplinary insights for facilitating change.
FRAMEWORK
TRAINING PROGRAM
01 / FIELDS INCORPORATED INTO THE FRAMEWORK
PROJECT OVERVIEW
How We Change is an applied research project that aims to gather and synthesize critical insights from across fields to support change practitioners in designing with impact in mind. The project will culminate in an interactive framework that unlocks multidisciplinary knowledge with the potential to inform transformative initiatives.
Project Goals
01 /
Multidisciplinary Review
Our team reviewed academic literature, books, and multimedia resources from across fields, as well as interviewing experts.
02 /
Critical Synthesis
We analyzed insights for patterns and high impact strategies to construct an easy-to-follow framework that captures key ideas.
03 /
Practical Pathways
We’re building engaging physical, digital, and in-person interfaces for supporting change practitioner in unlocking practical insights.
SUPPORTING CHANGE MEANS SUPPORTING CHANGE LEADERS
Educational systems are built by people, shaped by culture, and often resistant to change.
Despite substantial scholarship on influential factors driving social, cultural, and conceptual change, to our knowledge, few multidisciplinary tools exist to carve accessible pathways for practitioners to apply this knowledge.
The aim of the How We Change Project is to identify powerful insights from across fields and translate them into practical, integrated concepts for engineering change. By working with diverse experts to construct a user-friendly, multi-level framework informed by its own findings, we can turn latent knowledge into actionable strategies with the potential to transform how practitioners design for change.
