A multimedia storytelling program designed to break barriers and stereotypes in STE(A)M education.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The I Am a Scientist program challenges misconceptions about what STEM is and who can do it, while supporting students in pursuing leadership roles in STEM fields. Since launching in 2020, we've built a community of thousands of educators across all 50 states and 6 continents. Because every student deserves a change to see themselves in STEM.

The People’s Science
Supporting bidirectional relationships between scientists and the public.
Supporting bidirectional relationships between scientists and the public.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Our flagship program (and former organizational name!), The People’s Science began as a forum for scientists to share “pop abstracts” of their work, created by Dr. Jamil Zaki. The initiative expanded to become an workshop and campus tour, an experimental platform for bridging the gaps between scientists and the public, as well as a framework synthesizing relevant literature on how to do so equitably and effectively. While the forum has been sunsetted for now, the framework continues to play a critical role in our approach to science communication and relationship-building.
