It’s Only Human began as an art and science exhibition just outside of Boston, MA. Featuring 25 exhibits co-shaped by artists, experts, and educators, the initiative explores the ways that biases shape our personal, professional, and political lives.

Unintended

A multimedia experience exploring the unintended consequences of people on the planet.

The Unintended initiative is a collection of food storytelling and participatory experiences currently being co-developed with multimedia artists and experts. It aims to explore relationships in complex systems, emergence, and the integration of human behavior and nature through a wide range of lenses.

Knowing Better

An illustrated salon and campaign on responsibly navigating information.

As part of the broader Illuminations initiative, the Knowing Better exhibit focuses on tools to support responsible engagement with information in an increasingly complex media environment. After clarifying values-driven vs evidence-driven claims, it offers practical tips for overriding our biases and heuristics.

Intelligent Life

An illustrated salon on ethics, algorithmic bias, and the future of AI.

Imagine That

Using low stakes examples as entry points, we will challenge participants to consider what keeps us holding on, and how to stay open to change.

Nature Knows Best

As part of the broader Illuminations initiative, "Nature Knows Best" explores possibilities for circular economies, focusing on understanding the history of geomimicry, and the opportunities to shift towards bio-inspired, biocompatible, and low-waste production.

The Green Gap

As part of the broader Illuminations initiative, "The Green Gap" exhibit focuses on the entanglement of social justice and sustainability issues, both in terms of disproportionate harms caused by changing environments in marginalized communities, and the lack of equitable access to natural resources.
