An illustrated salon and campaign on responsibly navigating information.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
As part of the broader Illuminations initiative, the Knowing Better exhibit focuses on tools to support responsible engagement with information in an increasingly complex media environment. A comic exploring the importance of nuance and the limitations of binaries.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Created by Sam Galison in collaboration with other members of The Plenary team, one true thing* is an exploration of what it means to be “true” by breaking down seemingly noncontroversial claims into all of their component parts. Driven by Sam’s imaginative guides called “beasties”, each comic leaves the reader what, if anything, is “true”.

A framework and training program on twenty-first century information literacy tools.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
TILT (twenty first century information literacy tools) was first constructed in 2013 as one of the foundational components of The Plenary. It is a practical model synthesizing multidisciplinary evidence and insights on how to responsibly navigate information in the current media system. Translated into a workshop and presented nationwide, the model continues to serve as a core pillar for much of our work.
